This Privacy Policy explains how Varnit Singh ("I", "me") handles information in connection with the website varnitsingh.com (the "Site"). I keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the Site and respond to enquiries.

When you send a message through the contact form, I receive your name, email address, your message, and — if you add it — where your data lives. Alongside it the Site records the page you sent it from, any campaign tags in that page's address, your country as reported by the host, and a one-way hash of your IP address used only to limit spam. Submissions are stored in a private database hosted by Cloudflare, and a copy is emailed to me through Resend, an email delivery service. I use this solely to respond to you and to discuss potential or ongoing work.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, the Site's hosting provider may automatically record standard technical request data — such as IP address, browser type, referring page, and pages served — in server logs for security, reliability, and abuse prevention.

Cookies and local storage

The Site itself does not use tracking or advertising cookies. It stores a single preference — your light/dark theme choice — in your browser's localStorage. That value stays on your device, is not transmitted to me, and can be cleared through your browser settings.

Analytics

If privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics are used to understand overall Site usage, such data is anonymised and not used to identify individual visitors or build advertising profiles.

How information is used

These services have their own privacy practices, which I encourage you to review. I am not responsible for the content or policies of external sites.

Data retention

Contact form submissions and enquiry correspondence are kept only as long as needed to handle the conversation or the engagement it relates to, and for any period required by law, after which they are deleted. You can ask me to delete yours at any time.

Your rights
